Flight Lieutenant Brodie Sweeney
FLTLT Brodie Sweeney grew up in the hinterland of the Gold Coast. After finishing school at St Michaels College, Brodie joined the Air Force in 2006 graduating from the Australian Defence Force Academy with a Bachelor of Technology in Aeronautical Engineering.
Brodie completed Number 222 Pilots Course in 2011, prior to posting to 37 SQN to fly the C-130J Hercules. During her time at Hercs she completed two operational deployments to the Middle East, as well as numerous Humanitarian and Exercise deployments worldwide.
Brodie completed Flying Instructor Course in 2021, going on to instruct Advanced Flying at No. 2 Flying Training School at RAAF Base Pearce, WA. Brodie returned to Central Flying School in 2024 to instruct new Qualified Flying Instructors, subsequently being selected as Roulette Three. This is her first Season with the Roulettes.
Brodie has over 2500 military flying hours on CT-4, PC-9, C-130J and PC-21 aircraft. Outside of work, Brodie enjoys being outdoors spending time with her husband, three kids and multiple animals.
