Air Force to dedicate new Memorial at Point Cook

On Wednesday 30 March, the Royal Australian Air Force will dedicate a new Memorial at Point Cook, in a ceremony that will feature flypasts by current and historic military aircraft.

Air Force will dedicate the new Memorial to everyone who has worn the RAAF uniform in its first 100 years. The Memorial at Air Force’s original base will be a permanent legacy of the Centenary program.

More than 350,000 Australians have served in Air Force since 1921 and 11,191 have died serving the nation. 3,143 Air Force members have no known grave. The Memorial honours their dedication, service and sacrifice.

Flying schedule

  • Flypasts will be a combination of historic military aircraft and current aircraft, including a C-17A Globemaster and the Roulettes aerobatic team. Flypast aircraft may change due to operational requirements.
