Exercise Fenrir Fury to be conducted from RAAF Base Darwin

Up to five Royal Australian Air Force EA-18G Growler aircraft from Number 6 Squadron will conduct Exercise Fenrir Fury from RAAF Base Darwin during the period Monday 17 April to Friday 21 April 2023.

Exercise Fenrir Fury provides Number 6 Squadron with the opportunity to conduct flying activities which support the delivery of operational capabilities. Domestic deployments and related training develop a pilot’s ability to operate from different operating locations and are an essential part of fast jet aircraft training.

Residents are advised that flying activity will be conducted from Monday 17 April to Friday 21 April 2023, between 0830 and 1530 hours. Weekend flying is not anticipated.

All low level flying activities are conducted within strict safety and operational guidelines.

Flying is subject to change, including short notice cancellation, due to variables such as air traffic control requirements, weather, and operational availability.

Noise reduction and the environment are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of military flying.
