Air Force aircraft will conduct flying operations outside of regular hours at RAAF Bases Williamtown and Amberley as part of planned training activity.
Aircraft will depart from and return to these bases from 8am on Monday, March 25 until 5pm on Wednesday, March 27. This includes brief periods of flying activity between 10pm and 8am on these dates.
The aircraft will fly missions to overwater airspace off the East Coast of Australia, and are not expected to loiter near bases or communities for extended periods.
Night-time training is essential for ensuring Air Force aviators have the experience to safely conduct missions in this challenging environment, and successfully achieve their mission goals.
Defence greatly appreciates the continued support of local communities around its bases as it conducts this training activity.
