Members of the public may notice Defence personnel and vehicles within their community until 11 July 2024.
This includes Air Force personnel near public roads or airport points of entry around RAAF Bases Tindal in the Northern Territory, and Curtin in Western Australia.
There may also be closure or restricted access to Defence roads or establishments during this training.
Blank ammunition, pyrotechnics and battle noise simulation may be used during some aspects of the training.
This is a routine training activity and the community should not be alarmed.
This training is coordinated in conjunction with local, state and territory agencies in order to minimise disturbance to communities.
Air Force appreciates the support of the community whilst it conducts this training, and recognises the traditional custodians of the land on which we operate, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
The training will ensure Air Force aviators have the skills necessary to conduct air base operations roles necessary within northern Australia.
