Increased flying activity from RAAF Bases Darwin and Tindal

Air Force will conduct scheduled training in Northern Territory skies throughout June, with military fast jet aircraft operating from RAAF Bases Darwin and Tindal.

The size of the Northern Territory’s training ranges, coupled with the Top End dry season weather, make for the perfect environment for Air Force aviators to hone their skills and ensure they are ready for future operations.

Residents can expect an increase in flying activity, which will include day and night-time flying. Air Force greatly appreciates the ongoing support from local Northern Territory communities whilst it conducts this important training.

This flying activity is a separate event from Exercise Pitch Black 24, which will occur in the Northern Territory over 12 July to 2 August 2024.
