From 23 April to 2 June 2025, the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) C-130 Training Detachment will deploy to RAAF Base Richmond in order to conduct air mobility training.
The detachment will utilise drop zones, airfields and airspace across New South Wales, conducting both day and night training serials. The RSAF will also use the opportunity to conduct interoperability training with 176 Air Dispatch Squadron.
Singapore and Australia have a strong history of support for each other’s training and access to training areas.
Defence support to this training detachment contributes to Australia and Singapore’s close and enduring defence partnership, and ensures an Indo-Pacific region that is safe, prosperous and respectful of sovereignty.
The success of this training detachment will contribute to our two nation’s ability to integrate and work together in future.
The support of local communities during this training is greatly appreciated by Defence and the Republic of Singapore Air Force.
